New to WMS? Welcome to WMS from the PTO!

WMS PTO -  New Parent “Cheat Sheet”- Mainly for new incoming 6th grader parents but is useful if you transfer in and are new to the school!  -subject to constant change

We realize it can be overwhelming moving to Middle School.  Not for them - for you!

Things work a little differently in WMS to the Warren Elementary schools, but are age-appropriate.   Kids are older, becoming more mature and more independent and the WMS program and expectations are designed to guide them through this early adolescence taking personal responsibility and growing in maturity and independence.  

Whilst there is the Districts Student-Parent Handbook for specific detailed policies, there are some things that you will find useful to know,  before you get there , and whilst you are finding your feet as a Middle School parent to help you naviagte as a new parent to WMS! 

This sheet should help with some of the transition for parents.  The kids will learn on the job!
